Clean up after any marks
If you happen to ever spill anything on the surface, or there is a mark on there from a drink or whatever it is it’s important to clean it up as soon as you can. This will help minimize the damage, especially if the mark is from alcohol or citrus juices as the acid is very strong from it. For this reason, it’s best to use a coaster with drinks. To prevent stains from happening you should use a protective sealer which will give you more time to wipe the liquid away before a stain will accrue.
Placing hot items and scratches
When you have cooked with you pots or pans or just taking something out of the oven make sure your prepaid and have mats or trivets to one side to place the hot dishes and cookware onto. Nothing worse than placing a boiling item on the new marble kitchen surface. For any scratches that might occur from china, silver, and ceramics use place mats prevent this from happening.
Cleaning the Marble
When cleaning it’s advised to use a specific cleaning product for stones. You don’t want to use a cleaning product that has acid in it. This will include a lot of the bathroom cleaning products. It would only make the problem worse. Alkaline cleaners are also not suitable as well. The best option for cleaning marble surfaces is to use a product that is specifically used to clean marble and granite.
